Social programme


Tuesday 3 September
A drinks reception and light buffet will be held at the hotel for participants arriving on Tuesday.

Wednesday 4 September
Dinner will be held at the hotel in Huttons/Gershwin restuarant.

Thursday 5 September
A Pimms reception and barbecue will be held at Avington Park located a short distance from The Winchester Hotel. Avington Park is a Georgian Manor dating back to the late sixteenth century.

Friday 6 September

An optional guided tour of Winchester will take place on Friday afternoon once the conference closes. The tour will include a walk along the beautiful River Itchen, the ancient city walls, College Street with Winchester College and Jane Austen's house, the ancient Kingsgate arch, the Cathedral Close, the High Street and a visit to the Great Hall, which houses the legendary Arthurian Round Table.  The tour will take approximately 90-120 minutes.

The cost to attend this tour is £10 and must be pre-booked in advance when registering for the conference.
